About This Policy
Live Viewer Ranking is a personal, non-commercial project that tracks and ranks concurrent viewer counts on Twitch, Kick, and YouTube. This page explains what information the site collects when you use it, and how that information is used.
Information We Collect
If you log in with Twitch, YouTube (Google), or Kick, we receive basic profile information from that platform: your display name, channel ID, and avatar image. We never receive your password or any other account credentials — authentication happens entirely through the platform's own login flow. If you don't log in, no personal information is collected.
Cookies and Local Storage
Logging in sets a single httpOnly session cookie used to keep you signed in; it isn't readable by scripts on the page. A separate cookie remembers your selected language (English/Japanese). Your browser's local storage is used to remember dashboard preferences, such as your selected platform and category filters, entirely on your own device.
How Information Is Used
Login information is used only to authenticate your session and to associate your favorited streamers with your account. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and it is not shared with any third party beyond the platform you logged in with.
Third-Party Streaming Data
The viewer counts, chat activity, and stream metadata shown on this site describe streamers, and are collected from Twitch, Kick, and YouTube's public APIs. This is separate from, and unrelated to, any information collected about visitors who log in.
No Analytics or Tracking
This site does not run any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts.
Data Retention
Logging out clears your active session immediately. There is not currently a self-service way to permanently delete stored account data.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
